Arrangement > 11th edition of ArtVerona|Art Project Fair

11TH EDITION OF ARTVERONA|ART PROJECT FAIR A long-awaited appointment for the art market which, during EXPO 2015, will focus on the enhancement and promotion of the Italian art system with a more refined proposal of galleries and designs. Credited among the main Italian events in the sector, ArtVerona|Art Project Fair, renewing its collaboration with ANGAMC – National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries, confirms its commitment to sustaining the values of the art market, a fundamental asset for Italy’s growth. Focusing attention on both modern and contemporary art, 110 top Italian galleries and over 1000 Italian and foreign artists will be proposed from the 16th to the 19th of October in pavilions 11 and 12 of Veronafiere.
Under the artistic direction of Andrea Bruciati, the event, which is line with the directives of  Expo Milano 2015, undertakes to support the Italian art system via formats such as Focus XX, which, after the tribute to Enrico
Castellani, this year is going to pay tribute to Fausto Melotti; i6, the section dedicated to the most interesting Italian non-profit organisations operating in the world of contemporary art; atupertu, which will see several Italian artists hosted by the galleries present at the fair, meet visitors face to face; ArtVeronaTalk, a programme of meetings where Italians who operate professionally in the art world and who work abroad will be talking about their experience in a comparison with the Italian system and, lastly, a Private Acquisitions Fund aimed at supporting Italian art.
In addition, thanks to the increasingy close collaboration with the local institutions – from the Municpal Council to Verona University, from the Academy of Fine Arts to the Arena Foundation of Verona – once again, this year  ArtVerona is developing a series of collateral events – exhibitions, prizes and workshops – aimed at taking a closer look at aspects, people and topics in relation to contemporary art, with a view to being a  fair that intends to occupy a strategic and pro-active role within the complex Italian system of art and economics. Consequently, the PhotoArtVerona, VideoArtVerona and ArtVeronaYoung sections will be grouped together under a single thematic hat in 2015, analysing – with shows at the Castelvecchio Museum, the Maffeiano Lapidary Museum, the Civic Library and the Academy – the current appeal of Emilio Salgari, a storyteller who predicted possible worlds, stories of far-away lands which have inspired splendid visual representations, forgotten exoticisms for we virtual travellers of a perennially and quickly transforming imaginary world.
Suggestions which will provide inspiration also for play-educational workshops aimed at children aged 4 to 12 and for the contest launched on which aims to collect funds to support a show of Outsider Art which, if we reach our target, will welcome visitors to an international design of urban furnishing, conceived during the past edition in conjunction with Desall.
The strategic position of Verona, a city of art and of history, of international attraction and UNESCO World Heritage, along with the skill of Veronafiere, Italy’s leading direct organiser of events, will do the rest.
