FESTA DELLA FAMIGLIA (FAMILY DAY) – CENTRALE OPENS DOORS TO SHOW PEOPLE THE SECRETS OF MILK The usual appointment is held at Centrale del Latte di Vicenza with guided tours to the manufacturing site, games, tasting new products, and many different activities for both adults and kids
Workshops, guided tours, games, and tastings to feel in shape - this is the recipe for 'Festa della Famiglia', Family Day, the 5th edition that will be held on Sunday, May 24. On this occasion, the company's factory (via Faedo 60, Vicenza) will welcome adults and kids alike. "We want to keep the strong link and trust we have built with all our consumers: For this reason our factory will open this year too, so that families may become more familiar with our daily work and the 'technological core' of Centrale del Latte di Vicenza", highlights Alberto Bizzotto, CEO of Centrale del Latte di Vicenza, and contribute to developing 'food culture' providing insight into the nutritional properties of fresh products such as milk and yogurt.
Many playful and educational activities will be held during the day.
Our expert staff will take guests on guided tours for the whole day, through the different operational departments where milk, yogurt, and soy drinks are produced every day. Our operators will make every effort to raise people's awareness on the processes behind the production of milk and yogurt in a modern supply chain and to promote contact with an important and time-honoured local business.     
In addition to the guided tours, creative workshops by Ardea, an association based in Vicenza that promotes education through museums, will teach children how to reuse packages of the Centrale del Latte di Vicenza products in order to give shape to new objects. Younger kids will have fun on inflatable toys or discover old-time games with Ludobus (Playbus). Quizzes and tastings and sales of the products by Centrale del Latte di Vicenza will be also available for everybody.

Centrale del Latte di Vicenza was founded in 1929 with the aim of widely distributing hygienically guaranteed milk at a fair price. Over time, the company has expanded and specialised in the production and sales of other dairy products, such as long life UHT milk, yogurt, and fresh cheese.
The company underwent several changes in its structure before 2002, when it became part of the group Centrale del Latte di Torino & Co. S.p.A., an interregional dairy company specialised in producing and selling milk, dairy and fresh products.
The company's head office and the factory are in the eastern area of Vicenza, in a new manufacturing site inaugurated in 2008, where the most advanced machinery to process and package milk and dairy products is used. It is here where Centrale del Latte di Vicenza directly processes fresh milk. Raw milk is purchased from regional and local farms, all of which are accurately selected and constantly controlled. The internal Test Laboratory performs meticulous daily controls in order to ensure the top quality of the milk. Its engineers make sure that quality and nutritional values are respected from the very first moment the milk enters the manufacturing site and through each processing stage.
In Vicenza, Centrale del Latte processes one of the noblest foods: fresh milk. It is rich in nutrients that are essential for a healthy and balanced diet. Centrale del Latte produces all the different types of milk available on the market, in PET bottles and Tetra Rex cartons.
Alongside fresh milk, long life UHT milk and yogurt are produced: The former can keep its taste and nutritional properties for a long time, as a result of the innovative heat treatment system used. The latter is a product Centrale del Latte di Vicenza has long experience in. It is available in different sizes and types, and it is made only from fresh milk, with selected live and active cultures, and plenty of good fruit.
Specialisation and expertise in processing very fresh products, alongside with care for new customers' needs have enabled Centrale del Latte di Vicenza to expand its offer over time. The company can now sell other highly selected products, as Centrale's own brand, on target markets, such as butter and fresh cheese, and eggs and ready-to-eat salads, supplied by third companies. The company's products are mainly available in Vicenza, its province, and in the areas surrounding the nearby cities of Padua and Verona.
Centrale del Latte di Vicenza has always attached particular attention to quality - it was the first dairy company in Italy to obtain in 1995 coveted recognition given by the Certification of quality management system (UNI EN ISO 9001:2008). Testament to the constant attention we pay to our products, our Quality Management system has gained many more certifications  - certification of traceability for the entire supply chain to standard UNI EN ISO 22205:2008 and then certification of food safety management system to standard UNI EN ISO 22000:2008. The company has also obtained certification to IFS (International Food Standard), to UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management system, and to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 for occupational health and safety management systems.
