GUIDED TOURS AND WINE TASTING ON HEMINGWAY’S TRACKS THE PLEASURE OF THE TASTE IN A CHARMING FRAME In July 1918, at the De Stefani winery in Fossalta di Piave, Ernest Hemingway received the first treatment after being seriously wounded during the First World War. On the tracks of Hemingway, on reservation, we propose visits to the winery with tastings of wines and local typical food.

The event allows you to "live" the wine at 360 ° C, appreciating the natural philosophy and total dedication to this world, through a path that faces the microclimate, the terroir, the importance of the photovoltaic system and involves the entire De Stefani family life. Above all you will taste extraordinary wine, already rewarded in the best Italian and international guides.

The De Stefani family originates in Refrontolo, a little hilly village in Veneto Italy, as results in official documents of 1624.
Tiziano, third generation, went till the Piave Valley identifying in the Pra' Longo estate in Monastier di Treviso and in the Le Ronche estate in Fossalta di Piave, both north-east of Venice and located near the Adriatic sea and the Dolomites Alps mountains, a particularly suitable soil made of “caranto”: a mix of white clay and minerals from the Dolomites mountains.
Today Alessandro De Stefani, fourth generation, produces wines under a very natural philosophy, from old and with very high density vineyards, turning native varieties into better account.
Tiziano e Alessandro, who today is helped by his wife Chiara, are  still the winemakers of the company and they sign any single bottle released by their winery.

DE STEFANI

In 1990 Alessandro De Stefani (fourth generation) joined his father Tiziano, in producing wines which are recommended in the most important wine Guides under a very natural philosophy: in the vineyard absence of herbicides and chemical fertilizers and in the cellar vinification without added preservatives and sulphites. Turning native varieties to better account, he developed a world distribution network which brings the De Stefani wines in the finest restaurants and specialized wine shops.
