CUCINA & CANTINA / ASPARAGUS & SOAVE WINE During Expo Milano 2015 we propose to you «Cucina & Cantina», a series of dinners with wine tasting. We offer these dinners in collaboration with some of the winemakers met during the latest trip in search of the best expressions of our terroir. «Asparagus & Soave Wine», next May 15, will open this food and wine travel accompanied by winemakers, with Sandro De Bruno wines and the asparagus interpreted by Momi.

Bassano del Grappa white asparagus is a typical variety of Asparagus Officinalis grown in the territories of Bassano del Grappa, Cartigliano, Cassola, Mussolente, Pove del Grappa, Romano d'Ezzelino, Rosà, Rossano Veneto, Nove, Tezze sul Brenta e Marostica.
White asparagus gains its colour from having been grown without light: in this way, natural photosynthesis is blocked and th bud is more tender and flavoursome.
Asparagus is not recommended for those suffering from cystitis and kidney problems. It has a high potassium content, which halps the heart and muscles; it has a significant diuretic actions due to the presence of purines and uric acid.
Sandro De Bruno Winery is located in Soave DOC and Monti Lessini DOC areas and it is characterized by the production of high quality wines with grapes coming from Monte Calvarina at 600 m.a.s.l. We produce indigenous white wines such as Soave DOC, Soave Superiore DOCG, Durello Superiore DOC, international white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, the sparkling wineDurello Monti Lessini DOC , dessert wines such as Recioto di Soave DOCG and Passito IGT Veneto, and of course red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Nero.
