The Venetian territory hosts some of the most important companies producing and exporting bread, pasta and confectionery all over the world. Bread is definitely one of the most important key elements of the gastronomy of the Veneto which, over the centuries, has represented one of the principal and necessary food for the sustenance of the population. It is not by chance that there is an incredibly rich variety of bread types: ambrogiano, bastone, cioppa, cornetto, soft and durum wheat mantovana, kamut flour, whole wheat flour, traditional and organic...

Pasta tradition is of no less importance: first courses mirror the nature of the territory with a main type of pasta, the bigoli, similar to trofie(a pasta from Liguria). Anyway, it is possible to taste any kind of variety of pasta.

Furthermore, the Venetian territory is a region rich in traditions. The greater part of typical Venetian confectionery is connected to local and religious festivities, and we find different kinds of confectionery in every province.
