ANGUILLARA’S FLAVOURS - SPECIAL EXPO 2015 SWEET POTATOES  BY ANGUILLARA VENETA: INNOVATION AND TRADITION. Sweet potato is the protagonist of an event which every year improves itself with the collaboration between the Manufacturers of Sweet Potato Association by Anguillara Veneta, Municipality of Anguillara Veneta, and Arcaviva Association.
In the enchanting setting of Villa ex Arca del Santo (Seventeenth century), during the evening of 22 October, two young and talented chefs, Adriano Bimbati and Davide Filipetto,  will offer to the guests a sophisticated menu based on sweet potatoes by Anguillara Veneta.  The chefs are proposing unusual combinations of local tastes to encourage the knowledge and discovery and enhance their potential. The menu is presented as a concentrate of flavors, aromas and colours of a cuisine based on raw materials of high quality, which cultvation respect the area and season. Main features of their cooking are huge passion mixed with sobriety and elegance.
The October 23,24,25 you can taste other culinary possibilities always based on sweet potato by Anguillara Veneta according to the tradition of the region.
In conjunction with the gastronomic events from Oct. 23 to 25 in the park of the Villa are putting on an Exhibition and sale of local producers of sweet potatoes. If you are on the way you can notice the generosity of manufacturers who are preparing tastes and other surprises.
Side cultural events complete the festival making it unique and unforgettable.

The association of producers of the sweet potato starts up on the 17th of January 1991 by the will of the local producers in order to spread the nutritional value, the organoleptic features and the many alimentary uses of sweet potatoes;  to build a brand which guarantees the origin, the traditional technique of cultivation, the genuineness of the product and the commercial promotion.

The producer association took part in a series of initiatives to promote the product, such as participating in many degustation events and international saloons (like “il salone del gusto” in Turin), it gave birth to promotional events in the territory,  such as evenings with culinary specialties based on sweet potato and other events included in the sweet potato fair.
The producer association has also started the measures for the identification of a quality mark with the Veneto region, and the insertion of the sweet potato between the local peculiar products and it collaborates with the University for studies and specific researches on agronomic methods and to protect the product.
Currently the association is working  on defend the quality and the ancient production methods of the product according to the original production systems.
