A MODERN MILLING TECHNOLOGY THAT MAINTAINS THE ANCIENT TASTE OF BREAD A Journey Through Wheat Cleaning, Resting and Grinding into the Production of Flours: from rawest to most refined types. Visit to a new generation mill to discover how one of the most widely used ingredients of world nutrition is produced: SOFT- WHEAT FLOUR, i.e. the basic ingredient for making bread, biscuit, rusks, bread sticks,pizza, pasta, cake....
The production process guatantees 100% use of the wheat: " non waste materials are produced" the kernel core is transformed into flours, while its outer part becomes brand (used in animal feeds).
The visit will be guided by an expert "flourmiller" that will show you the whole route a wheat kernel has to go through to turn into flour and to be packed and " ready" to be delivered onto your supermarket shelves.

The visit starts at 10:00 in the morning and lasts for about two hours. Final buffet provided. Partially accessible to people with disabilities.

MOLINO COSMA SNC DI COSMA P. & C.


Molino Cosma snc produces flours for industrial use, flours and semi-finished mixes for bread making, bakery, pizza, fresh pastas and for home use. It produces 200 tons per day and its market and trading zones are mainly Italy, Germany, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
Packaging is available in 25, 10, 5 and 1kg bags.

Informations supplémentaires
The company was set up by the Cosma brothers Piero, Paola, Rosanna and Marta - heirs to Umberto and being the fourth generation since 1930. Molino Cosma was the first milling plant totally powered by electricity in the province of Padua. The first wheat and flour concrete silos were built in 1960. In 1981 the plant was completely renovated and further implemented, and a new warehouse for stocking and packaging finished products was built.
New investments have started this year for the implementation of new flour feeders and a warehouse. Two completely new packaging lines for 5 and 10 kg bags will be created.
