AMARONE AND TRENTODOC: OENOLOGY EXCELLENCES OF TERROIR, METHOD AND STYLE | 4 DAYS From the region of Veneto to the region of Trentino, from Amarone to Trentodoc, from the intensity of a red wine that marks the history of Valpolicella to the elegance of a sparkling wine from the mountains 1st day | Amarone, the prestigious red wine of Verona
Your visit will start a few kilometers north of Verona, in the hilly scenario known as Valpolicella, cradle of the well-known Amarone DOCG (guarantee of origin), First, you will be taken to a winery that produces Amarone in the Eastern part of Valpolicella and later to the Wine Museum. A wine tasting experience of Amarone will be a fitting conclusion to your morning tour. Lunch in a typical restaurant in the Eastern part of Valpolicella.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the discovery of the so-called “green gold”, the extra virgin olive oil DOP (guarantee of origin) Veneto Valpolicella, with a visit to an oil mill. Dinner in a traditional restaurant that serves typical dishes of the Verona area, and a relaxing night spent in the the Eastern part of Valpolicella.
2nd day | Amarone: special dried grapes, the famous “Ripasso”
On the second day, you will be leaving behind the beautiful hills of Cazzano di Tramigna, Illasi, Colognola ai Colli and Valpantena,  and arriving in Verona, a wonderful city of art and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be given time for a stroll in the city, famous all over the world thanks to the Shakespearean tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and the majestic Arena.
After having lunch in a restaurant on the road that leads to the Classical and Historical part of Valpolicella, you will be moving north-west to reach the five municipalities that constitute the Classical part of Valpolicella.
Here you will be able to discover, thanks to the tales of the winemakers, the many ways in which Amarone is produced. You will be told about Appassimento, the special technique used to make Valpolicella Ripasso and you will be invited to taste its many nuances. Dinner in an osteria with typical dishes of the Verona area. Accommodation in the picturesque hills of Valpolicella. 
3rd day | Trentodoc: sparkling wine from the mountains
The tour continues to the west, through the Lake Garda. Here the landscape becomes typically Mediterranean and as we approach the Trentino region. You’ll stop off in a wine cellar with a splendid view of the lake, and make a toast to the first encounter with this enchanting sparkling wine from the mountains. You will examine methods and production techniques of Trentodoc. The tour continues on to the Valle dei Laghi, where you will have lunch in a typical restaurant near Lake Toblino. 
You will now head towards the hilly area that dominates the city of Trento, to visit another wine maker of Trentodoc and enter the terroir of production. The afternoon will be spent touring the historical center of the “City of the Council”, with an itinerary dedicated to the historic and artistic symbols of the city, with its wine. At the end of the promenade, an “aperitivo" will be waiting for you in one of the best-known wine bars in town, followed by another typical dinner in a local restaurant. Accommodation in the city.
4th day | Trentodoc, an excellence of method and land
On the last day dedicated to the Trentodoc wineries, you will reach the fascinating vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana, at the foot of the Dolomites. The day begins with a visit to the "Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina": the biggest Italian regional museum dedicated to agriculture. The itinerary continues with another visit to a wine maker, where you will hear about the history that has defined the evolution of the sparkling wine from the mountains. A special tasting session of selection of Trentodoc, accompanied by typical products of the region will make up our original lunch proposal.
From here, you will reach the Valle di Cembra. Here you will complete your wine tasting excursion with the memory of a vivid perlage: Trentodoc rosé. Back to the valley, you will proceed along the main route to reach Vallagarina. It is time to enjoy your last stop: a visit to a family run, local wine cellar, where you will be welcomed with a special sparkling glass of aged Riserva.
