VENETIAN ECOMUSEUM SYSTEM Ecomuseum “system” of the Venice's lagoon and territories of the gutter, towards Friuli Venezia Giulia and Emilia Romagna, for a sustainable development of territories, through the exploitation of the landscape and economic identities.  The ecomuseum system has to favor the constructive relationship between a population and its administration.
The  ecomuseum system has to represent and facilitate the propositional functionality of a “multi-disciplinary network” composed of professional experts and micro-small enterprises of the territory.
While also addressing to an external audience, the ecomuseum system has its main interlocutors in the community inhabitants and the economic local system, including the micro-small enterprise of the territory that become active users of the ecomuseum system, through the modes offered by the “enterprise networks”.
A museum of time, where knowledge is extended and spread through the past lived by community to arrive to the present, with a positive opening to the future.

The objectives for the local sustainable development
The re-generation of local resources is declined according to the different commercial types and local contribution, activating a common commitment towards sustainability. Some hubs will be created and they will be represent real “concentration” cores of the socioeconomic district network. In the first phase, the hubs welcome the resources of the economic activities of excellence, for example agri-food and refreshing, regarded as closer to the domain of quality and innovation, in order to promote and sell the products of the short supply-chain (km zero), offering citizens a better access to local products, guaranteed by a referenced source in the territory, of high quality at a lower cost. Therefore, the hubs connect all the commercial businesses that constitute the district after being selected according to prerequisites that recall to the common vision of the environmental sustainability. The second phase predicts that the network of resources set up is expanded and includes all the further commercial businesses, namely economic, also industrial, activities that share the same philosophy of the whole service and that are activated to reach the participation prerequisites. These activities will propose totally made in Italy products that will adopt production processes similar to the territory’s tradition that will work in the eco-sustainability making structural or management changes, and they will be part by right of the ecomuseum system network, consolidating the identity of a territory that refines its activation and attraction capability.
Therefore, building a “system of economic relationships in the three European strategic fields of the smart specializations”: tourism/events, eco-design/living, agri-food/wine regarded as strategic also in function of the community resources already predicted in the period 2015-2020, to depict a “multisectoral network of enterprises also for the international promotion of the Made in Italy” that coordinates three specific “enterprise sub-networks” in the development fields identified by the Ecomuseum.
The ecomuseum “system” for the development is :
supporting new economic proposals, linked to entrepreneurial activities, new start-ups of micro and small enterprises, together with the advanced research and the contribution of the territorial and European universities through specific partnerships;
developing consciously a mode of use and eco-sustainable development of the territory in the three fields of the smart specializations.

The geographical basin of reference is that of the Mediterranean-Black Sea, that share a common old historical tradition (the Mediterranean basis was also called the “Middle White Sea”, opposed to the Black Sea), made of meetings and fights of several civilizations (the area includes the members of the three greatest monotheist religions).
Currently, the same basin is crossed by several politic, economic, social and cultural questions of difficult solutions, but it is recognized the vital need, felt by all the members without distinction, to resolve the environmental questions; in fact, they interest the southern and northern shore of the geographical basin of reference and are clearly linked to the common destiny of the whole area.
This is why FISPMED gives a priority character to environmental questions and those linked to sustainable development in line with several international documents.
By consequence, FISPMED recognizes priority actions aimed at:
improving the water management and demand;
encouraging the rational use of energy, increasing that of renewable energetic resources and also limiting the climatic changes carrying out an adaptation process to them;
supporting the sustainable mobility through a suitable management of transport;
guaranteeing a sustainable development that can become a driving economic sector;
ensuring a sustainable agricultural and rural development;
encouraging the sustainable urban development;
favouring the sustainable development of sea, coastal zones and sea resources.
FISPMED works through actions aimed at reinforcing the contribution of the civil society that it represents, giving it the possibility to express its reflexions on the communitarian and international policies in which it is directly involved (i.e. the current Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean). By consequence, FISPMED collects the petitions from the citizens that it represents and submits them to the attention of the institutional responsible for the same policies, in order to contribute to the improvement of the decision-making process, to the reinforcement of the participative democratic process looking for suitable and more effective solutions that respond to the real needs of the population involved. On the other hand, to do this, FISPMED has recourse to communitarian and international projects that rise from the network and develop synergies aimed at improving the living conditions of the same citizens of the whole Euro-Mediterranean and Black Sea area.
Every year, FISPMED selects projects elaborated by his members. Two projects each year (one for the east and the other one for the south of the Mediterranean-Black Sea) announced on 21 March are funded launching a specific and articulated fundraising campaign for twelve subsequent months.
The crucial elements at the base of FISPMED's actions are:
the importance of access to the information, to spur new actions that as a matter of fact come from an adequate knowledge of the problems of the area;
the reinforcement of participation, of direct democracy processes involving the highest amount of social stakeholders to build consensus at a local level, to stimulate private sector processes that can meet also public actions, etc.
the related improvement of transparency and effectiveness in public policies of action. In its action, FISPMED has recourse of a Direction Committee, the contribution of the Scientific Committee that is composed of distinguished university professors of Euro-Mediterranean and Black Sea areas and the contribution of its 216 members-partners with which a constant communication is guaranteed.
