From the hills of Valpolicella to the vineyards of Vallagarina, a voyage into the many wine excellences: from Amarone to Trentodoc, and an inside view on innovative organic and biodynamic wines.

1st day | Land of Amarone, land of Extra virgin DOP (guarantee of origin)

Your visit will start a few kilometers north of Verona, in the hilly scenario known as Valpolicella, cradle of the well-known Amarone DOCG (guarantee of origin), a land rich in food and wine excellences with a strong cultural impact. First, you will be taken to a winery that produces Amarone in the Eastern part of Valpolicella and later to the Wine Museum, where you will take a journey into the agricultural and wine making life of the late 1800s and early 1900s. A special wine tasting experience of Amarone will be a fitting conclusion to your historical and cultural morning tour. For your lunch, we will choose a typical restaurant in the Eastern part of Valpolicella where the hilly territory, with its wild landscape will provide you with unique emotions.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the discovery of the so-called “green gold”, the extra virgin olive oil DOP (guarantee of origin) Veneto Valpolicella, with a visit to an oil mill to discover the production techniques. The day will be concluded with dinner in a traditional restaurant that serves typical dishes of the Verona area, and a relaxing night spent in one of the beautiful facilities located in the breathtaking hills of the Eastern part of Valpolicella.
2nd day | Recioto and Marzemino, with a look into organic wines
On the second day, we will continue our tour with a visit to a winery situated in the Classical part of Valpolicella.  Here, after another wine tasting session, you will be able to discover, thanks to the tales of the winemakers, the many ways in which Amarone is produced. You will be told about Appassimento, the special technique used to make Valpolicella Ripasso and you will be invited to taste its many nuances through a guided tasting. Before leaving for the Trentino region, you will have lunch in a typical restaurant. The trip is short but you will notice many changes in the landscape, as you get closer to the mountains.  On the horizon, you will get your first glimpse of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The first stop is in Rovereto, situated in the Vallagarina area just south of Trento. It is a land of red wines such as Marzemino Trentino DOC (guarantee of origin), but also of sparkling ones.  Your visit will begin in a winery dedicated to the production of Trentodoc, a sparkling wine, and following this,  you will witness  innovation at its best with a guided tour in a winery that makes organic and biodynamic wines in the utmost respect of the territory. A relaxed and cozy atmosphere will accompany you at dinner, where you will be served some specially selected local products. A charming facility with an amazing view will be chosen for your overnight accommodation.
3rd day | Trentodoc and Teroldego, pure Trentino style
New day and new Trentodoc bubbles, this time in a winery located in the hilly area of Trento, traditionally dedicated to the production of sparkling mountain wine. After your visit, you will be taken to Trento, city of the Council, for a historical and architectural tour, following a route that will still be in line with the wine world. At the end of the promenade, an “aperitivo” in pure Trentino style will be waiting for you in one of the best known wine bars in town, followed by another typical lunch in a local restaurant.
The center of attention of your afternoon will be the Piana Rotaliana, situated north of Trento and defined as “the most beautiful vineyard garden in Europe”.  Here you will discover one of its best products, the Teroldego Rotaliano DOC. And to better understand the culture of the population that inhabits this region, you will have some time to visit the "Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina": the biggest Italian regional museum dedicated to agriculture, handicraft, religion, music and traditions in general.
